HOW TESLA'S AUTOPILOT WORKS?
The working of Autopilot is very sophisticated.
It takes input from smart sensors and cameras after it its algorithm merges all
the details like car’s position of eight sides, lane’s position, signboards,
traffic signals, GPS position, etc. in
real-time.
The algorithm of a car has the ability of learning by the data provided by the global fleets of Tesla which takes detailed information of the environment and feeds it back to Head Quarters.
The main front-facing camera is
calibrated for visual recognition up to 150m
, the wide-angle camera can see
broadly up to 60m and another camera can judge distant object as 250m
There are four more cameras two are
mounted on each side of vehicle two are slotted rare wood and two are angled forward
There is a rare camera mounted on the back of the car ranges up
to 50m. It is used for parking and it is
also another input source for the algorithm of the car
All visual inputs get merged by
algorithm and its result is the safe autopilot driving of Tesla.
There are also twelve ultrasound
sensors mounted on tesla. Six on the front
side and six are on the backside of the car which provides input in dust or fog. Each sensor provide short-range
input to the algorithm of the car. This makes
Tesla more secure car. It detects the very near object to
protect a person from accidents
There is also a front-facing radar that
detects object up to 160m by sending and
receiving radio waves. It is the main component of the car.
This is just a little piece of information about Tesla's modern cars
Interesting....
